GAMELIB BOARD and BOX: Unofficial, fan-made, 3D-printable add-ons for GAMELIB POCKET.

GAMELIB BOARD is a set of modular boards that can replace the back of the playing cards, offering superior bump resistance. These boards are provided as a zip file containing .stl files for six different sizes, which you can 3D print at home, online, or at a local maker space. The files are available as a pay-what-you-want download (or even for free). GAMELIB BOX is a storage solution designed to hold your GAMELIB BOARD tiles and/or GAMELIB POCKET deck. This design is also included as an .stl file in the package. These designs were created by Matthew Hender, one of GAMELIB POCKET’s Kickstarter backers.

The GAMELIB BOARD.stl files allow you to mix and match tiles to replicate game boards used by GAMELIB POCKET. Available for a PAY-WHAT-YOU-WANT PRICE, these tiles are designed to perfectly fit the dimensions of GAMELIB POCKET cards, while minimizing the impact of table bumps on your gameplay! As a bonus, you also receive the GAMELIB BOX, a storage solution sized to hold a selection of GAMELIB BOARD pieces (except 4×4 tiles). The box can hold 9 layers of tiles, including:

• 9 x 3×3 tiles.
• A selection of 3×2, 3×1, or other smaller sizes.
• Plus, it can even store your GAMELIB POCKET deck!

• Portable Format:
  • An assortment of GAMELIB BOARD tiles takes up about the same space as your GAMELIB POCKET box. Both can be stored together in the GAMELIB BOX for easy transport.
• Various Tile Sizes:
  • 6 modular sizes: 1×1, 2×2, 3×1, 3×2, 3×3, and 4×4.
  • Print 9 copies of the 3×3 tile to cover many board configurations (e.g., 9×9, 8×8, 12×2, 3×3).
  • Alternatively, print the exact tile sizes you need for any configuration.
• Reversible Tiles:
  • One side features recessed spaces for meeples and cubes.
  • The other side is flat with delineated squares, ideal for games like Awale.
• Quality and Durability:
  • The durability depends on your 3D printer and settings. The tiles are lightweight, small, and easy to replace if a tab breaks (though we haven’t broken one yet!).
  • Ensure your printer has good tolerances for the tabs to fit properly. If needed, clean up the prints carefully for a snug fit.
• Additional Gameplay Value:
  • This is an optional accessory and does not add new games to your collection. It’s simply an alternative to using the backs of the cards as a board, providing extra convenience and stability for some players.
